Dr. Sihai JIAO is a Principal Researcher of Heavy Plate Department of Central Research Institute in Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., LTD in Shanghai, P. R. China from 2005. He earned a bachelor’s degree (1986) from China Eastern Metallurgical Institute, and a master’s degree (1993) and a doctor's degree (1999) from Northeastern University in China.
Dr JIAO was formerly an Assistant Engineer (1988-1993), Engineer (1993-1998), Senior Engineer (1998-2005), and is now a Senior Engineer of Professor Level(2005-now) in Baosteel. He worked in University of Pittsburgh for 18 months in USA as a visiting researcher during 1999-2000.
JIAO is now the team leader of Flat Rolling research group in Baosteel, and his research interests include hot flat rolling process, process control and digital transformation, hot-roll bonding and computational materials. He published more 90 papers in academic journals or conferences.
