Xiaoming Mao，graduated from Central South University of Technology in 1995, and received a PhD degree in iron and steel metallurgy in 2014. He joined Baosteel in 1995 and has been engaged in iron and steel metallurgy production for many years, serving as the manager of sintering plant and blast furnace plant. Since 2012, his main role has been transformed into leading the research of Baowu iron making technology , especially in the field of low carbon metallurgy technology. He has served as the director of the Institute of Iron Making Technology and the assistant director of Central Research Institute. Now he is the vice president of Central Research Institute and the executive deputy director of the Low Carbon Metallurgy Innovation Center.
