This project aims to study high energy anode materials with reduced cost and improved safety to meet the requirements for the next generation of LIBs and make them more suitable for EVs. Following a road map of electrode materials2 (Fig. 1 a)), Si-based, Ge-based, and metal oxide-based composites will be studied.
